Cash

Both my systems (JTS and CCI) are absolutely clueless with respect to the next move in the market.  The CCI system is selling its long position and cautiously moving to cash, possibly warning of an impending swift move downward.  On the other hand, the JTS is covering its short position and also moving to cash, hinting that we may go up from here.  All this indecision keeps the JT Composite system 100% cash.  That's where I'm at also.  For the first time this month (*wink*) I have no feeling one way or the other where the market is headed in the short term.  I'll sit on my hands for another day - at least.  While I generally don't care for sitting out, this time I don't mind so much.  Happy trading or waiting!

  1. If we get a pop, I am putting in a BE stop... tired of all this up and down...

Worried we might get a strong break to 1400-1405 in a matter of a day or 2...

GRRRRR, probably gap down tomorrow since I didn't bother to sell at the high at 1010 this morning.

  2. I would love to see a drop to 1400. I'd load up the truck with some XIV.

If we fill that 9/6 breakaway gap, there should be plenty of buyers there to fuel a sizable short term rally. Perhaps it would be analogous to 7/12/12 when a sharp rally followed the 6/29 gap fill.

    2. Betchya if we go down to fill the 9/6 gap, that we don't stop there. That'd be too obvious.

    3. Alex, this is not a pissing contest. Why should I publish my trading log? What would that prove? I post signals here EVERYDAY for 2 years in hopes to help common people/traders like me who may have trouble beating the market on their own.

I am happy for you that have a system that you can follow and has made you so much money. By all means, carry on! I would also encourage you to share the wealth.

Your comments related to market timing and direction are always welcome here, but please keep the boasting and chest thumping to a minimum. Remember, pride comes before the fall.

    4. JKH, I humbly disagree with you. Your friendly wager is accepted. :)

  3. Exactly, J. Perhaps if you work at it real hard, one day you might be as transparent as Alex.

  4. Folllowed my plan today... as stated yesterday on this blog... "I doubt bulls can get this thing over 1458. ... I'll be unloading longs near there." Today's HOD 1457.14 ... sweet! What a place to unload.

Great odds for a gap down open tomorrow.

Bears need to start taking out the LOD's from yesterday and the day before. If they can do that, then it's "slow pitch" time for the bears.

    1. And I'll be curious to know if you start attracting spam. When I removed the blurry letters thing from my blog I instantly started getting "comments" all of the form "Love your blog, check out my site: www.spam.com".
