Hold signals.

There were no changes today. JT Composite and I remain sidelined in cash. Thanks!

  1. To all the bashers on the board, please stop reading here, because you won't like what I have to say next.

Took some profits today as per the plan posted yesterday. ;-)

The ES play worked better than the TNA play for that, though.
To anyone who did the same, I say "kudos" for taking what we get.

I'll do the same again tomorrow... expecting more of this grind action. I got my stops (B/E+1) in on the remaining positions. if we break down hard (like -150 Dow or worse) and close down at LOD tomorrow, I'll buy it. MKt's a bit of a crap-shoot here.

This is basically how I've been playing J's CCI signals in this mkt.

Mkt's not giving us a lot, so I'm taking what I can.

  2. Thanks for the ideas, JKH.

But, I suggest that you think about why you get criticism. Calling people who criticize you bashers is precisely the problem. It's like calling people who disagree with your market analysis "morons."

  3. Algyros, I suggest you go back and re-read that post I made (in context), before you personalize it to suggest I was nicking you, and accuse me of something I did not say.

  4. I'm afraid that you missed my irony. In the above reply I never said that you accused me of anything. And in my previous posts I assumed the mangle of "moron" to make a point: that it behooves all of us to be civil. Calling those who are long, even if it's the "masses," "morons" reflects poorly on you and on this board. You may disagree with what most traders are doing, but to call them "morons" or "idiots" is tacky. And, btw, so is quoting yourself.

  5. BTW, quoting yourself is fine if your goal is to point out your own shortcomings. For example, in spite of the fact that I rather like "assume the mangle," perhaps "assume the mantle" is slightly more appropriate.
