100% Cash

The JTS will remain short, but the CCI is flipping long today.  This is a neutral setup which places the JT Composite back to a cash position.  I'm going to deviate a little here.  Because the JTS is the superior system and it's remaining short - and considering the CCI is often a day early - I'm going to hold half of my short position over the long weekend. I will scale back to 50% TZA and 50% cash today and I'll reassess on Tuesday.  Enjoy the extended break.

All systems remain short.  Both were giving a buy signal this morning.  Kinda wish I had sold my TZA this morning and rebought on the gap fill.  Had a feeling it would fill.  Looks like a bear flag now on the 15 min chart, so normally one would expect more weakness ahead.  But this cocaine laced rally has me brainwashed into believing it will be up, up, and more up from here.  Let's hope not... see ya tomorrow.

Stats update

Finally had a chance to update my webpage including all stats.

In a nutshell, the CCI had an outstanding April but is having a horrible May.  All systems currently have open short positions.  I used TZA @ 32.00 to calculate this month's stats, including my own.   After all the ups and downs, all systems are separated by only a few % points for the year.

JT Comp: + 14.46%
JT Comp 100% Signals: + 12.72%
JTS: + 12.93%
CCI:  + 9.51%
J-Trader: + 0.61%

All stats are current as of today.  I'm personally lagging for a couple reasons.  First, I missed some decent gains in January while I was on my trading vacation.  Also, I never take 100% positions...usually 90% positions are about my limit, but more often I tend to keep at least 25% in cash, which limits risk but limits rewards.  My systems can make dramatic moves in fairly short order, so I'm not too concerned at this point.  Looking at previous years, the systems appear to perform better the 2nd half of the year.  Hopefully that trend continues.   A sincere thank you for following along on this journey with me.  -J

JTS is remaining long today.  This morning it was shorting so I took a partial TZA position @ 34.85 based on a hunch that there would be some weakness this afternoon.  I will continue to hold my partial TZA position.  It's a non-system trade b/c officially the JT Composite remains on the sidelines.   I'll post whenever I decide to exit or add to the position.  Thanks and have a great weekend.

JTS is extremely close to a short signal today but it's going to barely miss. It will generate a hold signal keeping it 100% long.  The CCI meanwhile remains short.  JT Comp will remain in cash.  I'll be on the sidelines for at least another day.  See ya tomorrow.

The JT Compsosite system is moving to 100% cash.  The JTS is generating a strong buy signal today, but the CCI system will remain short.  Another big down day tomorrow would fix that, but that's jumping the gun.  I'll cash out my TZA position for a nice little gain and head to the sidelines for now.  Thanks and congrats to all TZA holders out there.  J
