Holding shorts.

The afternoon strength was a little frustrating but I guess not very surprising.  Seems whenever I'm short and the market appears to be heading south during the morning hours, it pauses and then reverses during the 2nd half of the day.  Oh well.  I'll continue to hold my 75% TZA position into next week and we'll see what Monday brings. All systems remain short.  Enjoy the weekend all.

  7. That's the problem verdo. The shorts who are covering is who is buying, always happens that way, they keep trying to pick tops and end up covering and pushing the market ever higher!

    1. Which is why they should stick to their guns and quit covering... dang HFT...

It only takes someone to know the trigger, buy until the trigger is hit and then they can sell once the shorts cover. :-(

  8. I'm not saying that J's latest call isn't going to end up being a good one, because I have no idea. But I do know that many times in the past I've seen the market move relentlessly up or down and had to hear lots of posters on various blogs explain why it can't keep happening, why it's all rigged, or why their indicators prove irrefutably that a turn is imminent. Only trouble was that the market kept its going.

Again, I trust J and I'm short with him. I'm just saying that I've seen this happen before.
