Half Long if...

The JTS will order up a buy signal if SPY closes above 144.30.  If that requirement is not met, the system will remain in cash.  The CCI will stay in cash regardless.  In other words, the JT Comp will move to a half long position with an SPY close of 144.31 or higher.  Otherwise, it remains in cash.

Since we are in a strong contango environment I will opt once again for XIV rather than TNA for this potential long trade.  I will look to use about 1/3 of my capital on this trade even though 1/2 is suggested by the JT Composite system.  The other 2/3rds I will keep safe in cash for now.

Thanks!

  3. I guess you can get a good buy in this morning since any bump in the market gets sold...

  4. And any dip apparently gets bought...

  5. This has the feel of sideways consolidation before a move back above the recent highs. Then sell on the news: Obama wins. People who waited to buy until the election had resolved the uncertainty can then buy the relevant stocks from those who bought in anticipation. Same old story, new verse.

  6. CCI appears to be headed for a short signal. I will give more detail this afternoon on exactly why it's going short. Seems like a risky short to me due to strong liquidity and the fact it's going against the trend. But because the JTS will likely remain long, the only impact is I'll simply be going back to safety/cash on the close. Here's to a strong finish!

Just took yet another dive... kinda wish I had sold my HPQ before this stupid CEO-blunder...

    2. Might be putting in a BE stop on my XIV... would hate for this trade to go against me and then get a short signal...
