Buy confirmed.

5pm: The buy signal indeed held into the close which puts the system 50% long going into the new year. It wasn't a strong signal by any stretch, but it did strengthen in the last few minutes.

At any rate, I'm content sitting on the sidelines despite the fact my system recommended I buy some TNA. If we see any weakness early next week, I'll be a buyer. With another strong month under its belt, the system finished the year up over 50%! More on that in a future post...Take care.

3:46pm: Looks like a buy signal, although it's very close right now and it's a very weak signal. I'm going to exit my short position on the close and remain in cash over the extended weekend. If the buy persists into the close, I'll consider going long on Tuesday. Happy new year all!!!

PS - Extensive year end stats are coming this weekend.

  4. Thanks guys, not just for the nice comments but for hanging out with me here on a daily basis. If it weren't for supporters like you, I wouldn't be doing this on a daily basis.

The buy signal strengthened a bit with that last minute dip. Still it was weak and I'm not 100% convinced the pullback is complete.

Regardless, I've had enough with the short side for now... I'm a dip-buyer next week.
    Be safe and God bless!

  7. J...good work. I came across your site today. I will try your system from next week for a month and see how it works. Can your system can be adapted to other markets ? I am interested to try this in Indian market. If interested, please send email to padysrini@gmail.com. Thanks

  8. As a fellow dude who loves golf, I can assure you that I have no clue about foreign markets. :)

I would say the best place to start is to grab all my signals from the archives on the right side of this page and see how they would've performed using an Indian index. My system is calibrated to the SP500 so I have my doubts.

    Thanks for visiting. Golf on...

  9. Actually, the last post addresses a question that I had. Your system is based on the SP500, correct? So, any instrument that is strongly correlated to the SP500 should work. You only use TNA for the leverage, not because your signal is particularly attuned to it? Is all this correct?

  10. I would say you can trade us markets off of SnP signal.tza and tna give you biggest move up or down.Looking for a pop up to 1280 early next week as I got buy signal before close.Towards eow we should start a declije down to 1220-25 by Jan 9th-12th

  11. Correct, the system is calibrated for SPX. I use TNA simply by choice.

Speaking of TNA, I should've bought some!

  12. J no signal at close yesterday? Looking for down 1265-70 than run up to 1280-90 then we should get sell signal
