Stat calculations - explained.

As of March 1, 2012 stat calculations have been simplified. There are no longer 50% positions, so stats are now calculated simply by tracking the change in price of TNA between signals.

The following method is outdated as of 3/1/12, but I will leave it up for a while as an FYI to all...

Stats are calculated assuming a 50% position for a signal. Should the same exact signal follow the original signal, the system will use the other 50% and will be considered "all in". By definition, this is just dollar cost averaging on a position. If a third signal follows (which is very rare anyway), it will be ignored since the system is already "all in". This 50/50 method, as I call it, is what I use in my trading account, thus the stats will be a near accurate reflection of my actual trading performance.

The following info is still valid... All fees are ignored for simplicity's sake, so actual returns will be slightly less. Stats for a given month account for all trades that are closed in that month. If a buy signal is given in Feb, but is not closed until March, the gain/loss will go toward March stats. In the "Previous Months" section on the left side of the page, the left hand column is the month, the middle column is the monthly gain/loss, and the right column is the running total % gain/loss for the calendar year.
